Ce.Mu.SS was born from the evolution of the centers for Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) of the ASL Città di Torino, now united in a single, larger, more modern and accessible entity.
We have chosen a nurse-led model: a center led by nurses and midwives, who work in a team with medical specialists, psychologists and cultural mediators.
We believe in a welcoming, accessible, free and person-oriented public healthcare system.
We offer listening, prevention and treatment, making available medical, nursing, psychological and cultural mediation skills.
We promote conscious and respectful sexuality education.
We support those experiencing situations of vulnerability, discrimination or violence with dedicated programs.
STD centers have been operating in Turin for decades, serving as a point of reference for testing, diagnosis, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
Over time, the approach has evolved: alongside visits, health education programs, counseling spaces, and services aimed at specific targets have been created.
Ce.Mu.SS was born as an integration of skills and services: a single multidisciplinary center, bringing together healthcare, rights, and community.
Today, it is one of the first nurse-led centers in Italy dedicated to sexual health. A nurse will take your history to determine the most appropriate tests for you, collect samples (swabs and/or urine and/or blood), and, if necessary, schedule further appointments or have you evaluated by a doctor.
Access and booking. You can access the clinic for free, without a medical prescription. Simply book an appointment by phone or using the online form. Once you book, you will be registered at the reception desk and then greeted by a healthcare professional. Healthcare workers will listen to you without prejudice, ready to help you understand what is best for you and define your choices.
You cannot access the facility directly unless you have been referred from an emergency room. Direct access is possible only in cases of emergency (e.g. sexual assault).
Upon arrival at the center
If you speak languages other than Italian, at CeMuSS you will find a cultural mediator who can help you with the necessary procedures (ISI card, health card renewal, etc.) to obtain healthcare. If there is no mediator who speaks your native language, We can contact a telephone interpreter who will help us understand your needs.
Before the visit. You will receive instructions on what to avoid before the exams (vaginal douching, recent urination, etc.).
Fasting is not required for the tests performed at CeMuSS; you can eat a light meal before your appointment.

Hours: You can find us from 8:30 am to 11:30 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Wednesdays.
