All people who access Ce.Mu.SS are welcomed by expert healthcare personnel, who take their medical history and recommend tests for sexually transmitted infections and evaluate referral to a specialist outpatient clinic if necessary.

For those seeking information or who wish to take PREP (see the PREP page) free of charge, testing for sexually transmitted infections will be performed upon admission and all instructions for upcoming appointments and prescription procedures will be provided.

For the diagnosis and management of people suffering from genito-pelvic pain. To access the service, you must have a specialist referral for “first gynecological examination, suspected diagnosis: genito-pelvic pain” and send an email to vulvodinia.cemuss@aslcittaditorino.it

Obstetric-run clinic that cares for people with uteruses who are migrants, in transition, who do sex work, who are living with HIV, and who use substances.

Access Methods

To access the clinic:

• You will need the STP code, ISI/ENI card, voluntary SSN registration, or regular SSN registration.
• A doctor’s referral is not required.
• Follow the standard CeMuSS access instructions (as above).

This service is intended for girls and women who have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM). It also implicitly targets individuals or communities who may be at risk of FGM or who need education on how to stop the practice.

The activities provided regarding the diagnosis of FGM and the early recognition of possible mutilating intent are:

• Pre- and post-initiation counseling for sexual activity in a person with FGM.
• Advice on suitable contraceptive methods, with particular attention to the patient’s tradition of origin and the support of cultural mediation.
• Care of patients with FGM, education on specific intimate hygiene, counseling on sexuality and related issues.
• Identification of individuals for FGM-related reparative surgery (direct connection with the hospital).
• Identification of individuals with genital/sexual problems related to FGM, diagnosis of the condition, and referral to the hospital.
• External Relations.
• Care during pregnancy, if infibulation is present, for de-infibulation surgery. Early.
• Education on discontinuing excisional practices (direct connection with the hospital, including for pregnancy follow-up).
• Provision of care by a specialized midwife for a natural and informed approach to childbirth.
• Education on female cancer screening (Prevenzione Serena) and possible HPV vaccination for women who request it.
